Shopum business model: Payments, Chat Fees, Shipping, Auctions, Promotions & Tipping a seller



It is extremely important for customers to pay directly to Shopum Ltd account instead of paying sellers directly, no matter how much they are induced to do so. Shopum will not be responsible for any payments made outside of their account.

Shopum is a trademarked company, and any payment made outside of their platform is considered a risk. To make a payment, customers should look for the Shopum Ltd account name and account details in the Shopum customer app under "My Accounts - My Kash - Add Money".

It is important to note that only approved agents will be listed in the Shopum app blog post, and they will have a blue verification badge. Customers should exercise caution when making payments and ensure that they are paying the correct account to avoid any fraudulent activity. Paying directly to the Shopum Ltd account is the safest and most secure way to complete a transaction on the platform.

Reasons why it's best to pay directly to Shopum Ltd by the customer instead of directly to the seller:

    2. SHIPPING:     Shopum does not ship goods to customers. Instead, sellers are responsible for communicating and arranging shipment to customers based on their location. This means that the customer pays the seller for shipping. Any product listing without free shipping means that the customer will pay for the shipping of the purchased products.

If you want to offer free shipping to customers, meaning that your product price includes shipping charges to anywhere, then you can enable free shipping in your product listing. This can be achieved in the Shopum Earners app under the shipping properties tab, then clicking on "Free Shipping."

    3. PRODUCT LISTING AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:     It's important to display exactly what you are selling on the Shopum platform. If a customer is not satisfied with the product, both parties should try to resolve it. If a resolution cannot be reached, Shopum will refund the customer by withholding the payment. However, this will only happen after the seller has received back the product.

Customers can report any issues using the report button on the product listing with the order number and contact details.

    4. PAYMENT AND TRANSFER:     Sellers get paid at the end of every month based on their transfer request in the Shopum app. This means that sellers must request payment to receive their earnings. The payment will be made to the seller's chosen account, such as a bank account.

    5. KASH AND AUCTIONS:     To participate in auctions, users must have Kash in their wallet. Once a user bids, the Kash amount is placed on hold, and the user cannot use it for other purposes. If another user bids higher, the Kash is returned back to the first user's account.

    6. CHAT FEES:     All chats initiated after a product purchase do not attract any fees. However, all other chats on the Shopum platform, except for those initiated after a product purchase, attract a fee that is deducted from the user's wallet and credited to the other user's wallet. If a user initiates a chat, they pay the fee first. This fee is deducted ONCE everytime a new chat head is created.

7. BLUE BADGE: The Twitter blue badge is a symbol of authenticity and credibility on the platform. It indicates that an account has been verified by shopum, meaning that the account holder has confirmed their identity and that shopum has confirmed that they are who they say they are. The blue badge is important because it helps to prevent impersonation and misinformation on the platform. It also helps users to identify legitimate accounts of shopum cash agents.

8. ADDING PHOTOS TO SELLER PROFILE: Adding photos to a seller profile is essential for creating a strong online presence and establishing credibility with potential buyers. A seller profile with well-crafted and high-quality photos of products or services provides potential buyers with a clear idea of what they can expect to receive. Photos also help to establish trust between the seller and the buyer by demonstrating that the seller has nothing to hide and is confident in the quality of their products or services. Additionally, photos can help to make a seller's profile stand out among other sellers and increase their chances of making a sale.

8. TIPPING A SELLER: Tipping a seller is a way for buyers to show appreciation for a job well done and to establish a positive relationship with the seller.  Tipping can also help to incentivize sellers to go above and beyond in their work and to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, it can help to increase a seller's income and encourage them to continue offering their products or services on the platform. Overall, tipping a seller is a way to show support and appreciation for their hard work and dedication to providing a quality experience for buyers.

Product Promotion: Product promotion is a type of promotion that can be done by sellers to promote their individual products on the front page of the Shopum website. This type of promotion is ideal for sellers who want to highlight specific products that they believe will be popular among customers. By promoting their products, sellers can increase their visibility on the website and potentially attract more customers. This type of promotion typically involves paying a fee to Shopum to have the product featured prominently on the website's front page.

Profile Promotion: Profile promotion is a type of promotion that can only be done by the admin on the request of the seller. When a seller requests profile promotion, their shop and all its listings will be displayed on top of the home page. This type of promotion is ideal for sellers who want to increase their visibility and establish themselves as a reliable and trusted seller on the platform. By having their profile promoted, sellers can potentially attract more customers and increase their sales. Unlike product promotion, profile promotion can only be executed by the admin at the request of the seller.

Product promotion is a great way to highlight specific products, while profile promotion can help to establish a seller's credibility and trustworthiness among potential customers.
